Art Deco was an opulent style, and its lavishness is attributed to reaction to the forced austerity imposed by World War I. The movement was most popular from 1920 until 1939, affecting the decorative arts such as architecture, interior and industrial design. My designs reflect the style of the era – the geometric and angular shapes, stylised motifs, and colour and texture contrasts.

Tiffany glass is the generic name used to describe the many and varied types of glass developed and produced by Louis Comfort Tiffany, (1848-1933), one of the most famous stained glass artists of the United States. Tiffany was an interior designer, who became renowned as a producer of glass and designer of windows and decorative objects, in particular his Tiffany lamps.

Uroboros and Youghiogheny glass, more usually used for Tiffany lampwork, features strongly in my work because of its ability to transmit texture and rich colours.
